Andrew & Amy Ogea :: Pastor of Worship Leadership and Discipleship

Andrew & Amy OgeaAndrew Ogea is passionate about making, leading, and sending fully devoted disciples of Jesus Christ. His devotion to this mission is a result of the complete change that Jesus made in his own life several years ago. Since then, God has been equipping him in the areas of worship leadership and discipleship to help encourage and strengthen the church. He began his ministry at First Baptist Church of Covington, La where he led worship and helped develop praise teams in the student ministry. Two years later, he had the opportunity to lead a similar ministry for the Baptist Collegiate Ministry at Southeastern Louisiana University. Currently, he continues his studies at the New Orleans Baptist Seminary where he pursues a Master of Divinity. In 2002, he joined a church planting team and helped launch Northshore Church in Slidell, LA. After six years, a devastating hurricane, and over a dozen worship locations, the church is still growing and reaching the northshore for Christ. In fact, one of many people led to the Lord through the church later became the best thing that ever happened to Andrew. In May of 2006, he married the beautiful Amy Meyer of Slidell, LA. She is a recent graduate of Southeastern Louisiana University with a degree in Elementary Education. She not only has a passion for children’s ministry, but also loves teaching and mentoring young ladies. Together, they continue to be involved in various ministries in the Greater New Orleans area, and are pursuing God’s calling to minister to the people of Uptown, New Orleans through Vintage Church.
In 2006, five of the greatest men on earth joined Andrew to share the love of God through music. The Andrew Ogea Band has partnered with Ignite Mission and lead worship for events like HIMnI (a monthly young adult worship gathering), Out of Range (an annual prayer conference), and MissionLab (a youth missions camp). They also travel around the U.S. proclaiming the wonderful message of Jesus Christ.
